Apply for this roleAbout the role
Join RestroAI and help build the AI operating system for restaurants.
As an Engineering Intern, you'll work directly with the founders to build production-ready features used by real restaurants. You'll contribute across the stack, build AI-powered workflows, integrate third-party services, and experience what it's like to build an early-stage startup from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Build modern frontend experiences using React and Next.js.
- Develop backend APIs and services (primarily in Go—we'll help you learn it).
- Build AI-powered workflows and automations.
- Integrate restaurant POS systems and third-party APIs.
- Work with PostgreSQL and Supabase.
- Improve product performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Take features from idea to production.
What You'll Get
- Work directly with the founders.
- Build production features used by real customers.
- Mentorship across engineering, product, and startup execution.
- Learn modern technologies including Go, AI integrations, and scalable backend systems.
- Opportunity for a full-time engineering role based on performance.
What we're looking for
- Preferably in the 2nd or 3rd year of a B.Tech (or equivalent) program, graduating in 2027 or 2028.
- Available for a full-time internship for 3–6 months (internship semester or college break).
- Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals.
- Have built at least one project using React or Next.js (coursework, hackathons, or personal projects all count).
- Curious about backend development—you don't need prior Go experience.
- Familiar with Git and REST APIs.
- Eager to learn, take ownership, and build real products.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Docker or PostgreSQL.
- Built AI or LLM-powered projects.
- Participated in hackathons or contributed to open source.
- Previous startup or internship experience.
Compensation: Paid internship.
